Welcome to First Lutheran

The First Lutheran Church of Columbus, Indiana, welcomes all God’s people to come together to worship Christ, and encourages all God’s people to go out and serve Christ and neighbor.

FLC meets at 3600 25th Street on the east side of Columbus, Indiana, between Marr and Taylor Roads.

We worship weekly at 8:45 am (Traditional) and 11:15 am (Contemporary) every Sunday morning.

We are meeting in person with masks now optional, although we ask that you use discretion when greeting others, being sensitive to their individual social distancing concerns.

We celebrate communion on a weekly basis. Please follow instructions on our communion practices.

For those who do not yet wish to worship in person, we will continue to live stream the service. You will find the readings, words to hymns, and link to the service in the postings located below.

First Lutheran is a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in American (ELCA) via the Indiana-Kentucky (IK) Synod.

We are seeking a full-time pastor!

Come walk with First Lutheran Church as we seek a full-time pastor with a spirit for youth engagement, preaching, teaching, spiritual growth, and fun. Help us grow by attracting more families with children, promoting membership diversity, and communicating our love of Christ with our community. This congregation has a genuine love for each other, a passion for faith-based learning, strong musical talents, financial stability, well-maintained facilities, and demonstrates generosity in our community.

All inquiries, please contact Rev. Dan Forehand at the IK Synod Bishop’s office at (317) 253-3522 or dforehand@iksynod.org.
