In this week’s Gospel we hear the story of Jesus calling his first disciples, the fishermen Andrew, Peter, James, and John, to “fish for people”. Little did they know what they were signing up for, but I suspect that they would not have changed their choice. Sometimes you just have to jump in.

A Very Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year to all!

On this most special of nights, we come together to rejoice in the birth of a baby. A hope for peace. A promise of life everlasting.

Our celebration will start with special music at 6:30 pm, followed immediately by a candlelight Christmas service at 7:00 pm.

Today is the 4th Sunday in Advent, when we light four candles and go on a road trip with our young, and not so young, folks.

This week’s we will have a blended service with a special presentation of “Christmas Road Trip, The Journey of a Lifetime”. Our service starts this week at 10:00 a.m.

As we light the second candle on our Advent wreaths this week, we are reminded that the color of Advent is blue, the color of hope. As the days grow shorter, and the dark of night comes earlier, the Advent candles remind us of the hope for the coming Savior, the light of the world.
