“Thank you all for such kindness!!! A group came by my house this morning and did so much for me and my kids. As a single mom with 3 children I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate the kindness they have shared with me today.”

FLC encourages its parishioners to participate in ministries to our surrounding neighborhoods and the wider Columbus community

Love Chapel – FLC partners with area churches to assist our neighbors who need a hand with a food pantry, hot meals, utility assistance, and housing.

Meal Site Dinners – FLC members, in partnership with Love Chapel, prepare and serve hot, nourishing dinners on Wednesday evenings in January and February. The last few years we have served dinners at the Columbus Free Methodist church meal site. Contact the church office for more details.

Food Collection – A box in the office hallway receives food donations year-round. Donations are shared between Love Chapel’s food pantry, the Hope Food Pantry, and our own Blessing Boxes on the far side of our parking lot.

Undies for Everyone – Working with Columbus’ Sans Souci, FLC collects underwear and socks each summer for area children.

Soles for Souls – Working with Sans Souci, FLC collects new shoes each fall for area children.

Piecemakers – The FLC sewing circle works year-round to produce quilts for distribution through Lutheran World Relief (LWR).

Scouting – FLC is the host church for three Scouting America groups: Cub Scout Pack 557, and Scout Troops 557 (boys) & 1557 (girls). Troop 557 is currently the largest troop in Bartholomew county. Girls and boys, young men and young women are eligible for membership.
