Today’s Gospel lesson finds Jesus in a boat with his disciples. A windstorm comes up, threatening to swamp the boat. The disciples rush to wake Jesus, who is sleeping, saying “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” (Mark 4:38). Jesus calms the winds and the seas and asks, “Why are you afraid? Have you still no faith?” (Mark 4:40).

How often do we have little faith in the face of problems? Don’t be afraid. God is there for you.
