In today’s Readings, we see Christ not as a helpless baby lying in a manger, or an anguished human hanging on a cross. We see him in his divine essence, Christ the King. “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in Him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers – all things have been created through Him and for Him.” (Col 1:15-16).
This yet is the same Christ. Our Friend. Our Brother. Our Savior. And if Christ is with us, who can be against us?
Go in Peace. Serve the Lord.
Thanks be to God!
