In today’s second reading, St. Paul writes, “For he is our peace; in his flesh he has made both groups into one and has broken down the dividing wall, that is, the hostility between us.” (Eph 2:14). In writing these words, he was explaining to the former Gentiles that in Christ they had become united with God’s chosen people.
In Christ, the divisions become insignificant. In Christ, we work together to feed the poor, comfort the sick and the grieving, protect the innocent, seek justice for the oppressed.
In Christ we are all one people.
Go in Peace. Serve the Lord.
Thanks be to God.
