In today’s Gospel lesson, Jesus prepares for his Assumption, telling his disciples, “I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35)

I notice that he didn’t qualify that commandment with “Love those that look like you”, or “Love those that think like you”, or “Love those that act like you”.

He said, “Love one another”.

No restrictions.
