Our combined Easter Sunday service will begin with special music at 9:30, followed by the service at 10:00.

Immediately following the service there will be a brunch in the fellowship hall with an Easter Egg hunt for the kids.

In this week’s Gospel lesson, Jesus tells his followers, “If any want to become my followers, let them deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.” (Mark 8:34).

He knew what was coming. He knew he would have to face death on a cross.

And yet he did it. For us!

As we start our Lenten journey this week, we read the words of the St. Peter in today’s second reading, “Christ also suffered for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, in order to bring you to God.” (1 Peter 3:18).

Follow Christ. Find God. It’s as simple, and as difficult, as that.
